Philip Carmen, 55, a Danville resident and section gang No. 15 member on the Peoria & Eastern, was killed at 2 15 Monday morning at the city depot when he fell under a moving train. A coroner ruled death accidental. the body was buried after services in Danville. He leaves a second wife and four grown children. formerly a Silverwood resident.

Crumpacker Act Signed Sets Statewide Auto Rules
Governor Hanly signs the Crumpacker automobile bill making speed limits statewide. Eight mph in closely built up areas, fifteen mph within larger city areas, and twenty mph outside cities. Vehicle operators must stop on command when signaling a horse. the added stop for a frightened horse was removed. Registration with the secretary of state is required. Penalty max is $50. cumulative fines and imprisonment on repeat offenses are dropped.

Death of Mrs Rosa Hunter in Vermilion County
Rosa A Switzer born Oct 23 , Vermilion county Indiana died March 1905 at 50. Married Sept 26 1977 to Wm P Hunter. Mother of nine children eight survive. Funeral by Rev Cannon with Proverbs 31 read. Buried at Switzer Cemetery 14 miles south of Foster. She died in sleep after heavy breathing with 14 month old daughter in arms. Described as devoted and kind to family.
