Shambart of Champaign UK has purchased the Edinburg Tod Courier and becomes editor. The move transfers ownership and leadership of the local newspaper.
A barge boating party of about seventy was taken to Perrysville Tuesday evening by the Tecumseh. The moonlit river ride was pleasant and well received by all aboard.
The Tacomseh house deck river boat owned by Lafayette par ties and powered by a twenty four horsepower engine carried excursionists to Cayuga Sunday. The Hunter Colts joined the party and played an interesting game with Cayuga pine. Departure was from Washington street at 19 a.m. and arrival at Cayuga occurred around 11:50 after running up the swollen Vermillion river. Return home was about 50. The trip was pleasant and enjoyed by all.
The Fountain Warren Traction Company is reopening in the city with Civil Engineer Hill completing the profile and maps two years ago. H P Lane of Franklin Ohio assists as electrical expert. Promoter B H Ranella of Dayton has supervised recent work. A resurvey from Danville Illinois to Lafayette begins next Monday with minor route changes and relocation planned. Right of way acquisition is underway and prospects for the line are improving.
A commercial club committee spent last Friday in Wasbash township securing the right of way for the proposed line between this point and Kingman. They report being largely successful and gratified with the results.

Courtney W Dice was chosen to replace retired HC Yount on the city school board. The unanimous council vote left no other candidate, despite earlier promises to a Republican member. Newtown plans Fourth of July celebrations with special announcements elsewhere.
A seven year old, George Keller, son of John Keller, was run over by a wagon near the river while following twenty mule team wagons. He fell beneath the second wagon and suffered a severe foot injury that may require amputation.
