A freight collision at Tile Siding three miles east of Waynetown killed James Mathews head brakeman from Indianapolis. Fireman J Wimmer suffered a sprain and engineer remained with the engine as Conductor J M Beaver led train 91 into the wreck. Mathews died about 6 a m after being brought to the city.
