A letter to Dr. Rowland, secretary of the pension examining board, from Enos Gilpin in Danville Illinois dated January 25 expresses gratitude for a pension increase. He says he may not see them again in this life but plans to tip his hat to them on the other shore.
M E Church Revival continues with services led by Dr E A Schell. Quarterly meeting Saturday 2 30 p m and Sabbath school Sunday 9 50 a m. Dr Schell preaches 10 40 a m with sacramental service. Epworth League officers installed next Sunday 6 30 p m led by Lulu Schwin and others. Local notices mention illnesses, marriages, and travel. several residents sick with lung fever and injuries. visitors from Iowa Ohio New York and Kansas.
The Republicans of Indiana's Ninth District plan a delegate convention at Blinn theater Frankfort on February 25 to nominate a candidate for congress. County central committees will arrange delegate notices with representation based on votes for Daniel E. Storms in November 1902. Fred A Sims chairs.
Special meetings are held at the M E church with Rev. Palmer leading effective efforts though health limits. Several accessions to the church have joined as the work progresses. Allard invited to attend.
Tuesday update from Hon. C. V. McAdams presents a handsome court calendar for Fountain Warren and Benton counties covering 1904 05 00 and 19417 with frontispiece court house portraits and officials. It includes half tone portraits of Judge Davidson and Judge Rabb with biographical sketches and county calendars in black and red. The final section lists 18 Benton 53 Fountain and 16 Warren bar members, with compliments from the author.

Irene Lodge No 207 D of R has accepted an invitation from D G M Ira Boggs to institute a similar lodge at Cates on Tuesday evening February 2 1904. The staff will travel by morning train and return by midnight after initiating candidates in the afternoon and holding the ceremony in the evening.
