Benjamin F Ritchey age 64 died in the operating room of the Indiana Medical College in Indianapolis Tuesday evening after removal of a malignant cancer that had eaten into the jaw bone. Weakened by age the operation proved fatal. Funeral services were held Friday at 10 a.m. with Rev Dougherty officiating. Interment followed at Gopher Hill cemetery. He was well known in the city and leaves many relatives and friends to mourn his untimely death.
Casper Salmen born November 29 1827 in Bilten Canton of Glarus Switzerland died January 6 1908 at the Home for Aged Odd Fellows Greensburg Indiana age 80 years one month and seven days. He was a tailor by trade source of Covington and Lafayette later drilling wells for coal oil and gas and served as president of Mt Hope cemetery trustees for about 80 years. He joined the IOOF March 7 1874 and remained an active member. He leaves a son John C Salmen of Marion Sed. now resident of the Odd Fellows Sid Yu tow tas eg.
Receipts and balance on hand presented for the year ending December 31 1987. Entries show township revenue totals 667 12 and township receipts 701 27 with individual names including Waldrip and Jasper Beverly noted among amounts. The document records totals and signatures for financial accountability.

The document records the 1907 township fund receipts and expenditures ledgers with names such as Lewis B. Waggoner and Jacob S. Oland, plus a January 1908 oath. It also reports the death of Mrs. Sarah Ristine aged 83 at No 318 South Main Avenue, Fountain City, with survivor details and funeral arrangements.
