Mass of Ruins: Newtown Consolidated School Destroyed by Fire
Fire totalled the Newtown consolidated school building early Friday, discovered by the janitor. Eight rooms were lost and taxpayers lament the expense of construction completed a year ago at about 20060 dollars. Trustees and officials discussed rebuilding plans as crews fought the blaze and the township’s offices moved to the east side of the square.
