Attica and Danville residents made multiple calls and visits this week. The city hosted University Glee and Mandolin clubs at M E church Thursday night and compact social rounds continued through the week with several Attica visitors and several local engagements.
Henry McKenzie was tried by jury on Tuesday and found guilty of assault and battery with intent to commit manslaughter. He was sentenced to a term of two to fourteen years. The item also notes a concert at M E church and various local notices, including a Christmas entertainment and a subscriber letter from Cloverdale Kansas.
Judge Rabb adjourned court with several dispositions including verdicts and judgments in multiple cases such as Brown vs. Bowler, Weed Co. vs. Nixon, and Sandal vs. Sunmipson. An obituary for Mrs. Katie E. O’Connor notes a death at age 25 plus a poetry tribute and subscription offer details.
