Halley’s Comet Brightening Skies Over Indiana Polis

Halley’s comet will not be visible to Covington residents until after May 18 when it becomes naked-eye visible. It approaches Earth at 2,000,000 miles per day and will pass 14,000,000 miles away. From May 18 to 25 it should glow after sunset, its peak possibly brilliant despite atmospheric conditions. After May 24 it dims and may disappear by month’s end.
