Brighton Line deviate south through Godstone for direct route
The South Eastern Railway plans a direct Brighton Line via Godstone to reduce tunnels and steep gradients. If Parliament approves the deviation, the line from London to Brighton will be shorter and more direct, with a new Brighton terminus near Dorset Gardens and branches to Lewes and Newhaven. Shares preferentially offered to existing SE Railway holders. notices issued for registration and allotment deadlines.
