A young man Gardiner was assaulted near Nayland by four men dressed as sailors who robbed him of silver and fled. On the 14th instant, four men two dressed as sailors and one in white trousers assaulted a worker for Mr. Stammera of Layland, masked him with plaster and robbed him. Two men fitting the description were seen at Malle Hart Bergholt Heath. two were arrested but could not be identified by the victim.
