Gottie fire case at Bow Street examined again
Yesterday John Gottie faced further examination at Bow Street before Sir R Birwie and Mr Minsiunse on a charge of wilfully setting fire to a house in Whitecross Street in September 1811. The proceedings drew a large crowd as details emerged of insurance claims and witness accounts from Mrs Gibbs and Elizabeth Brookes.
