From the London Gazette April 30 Richard Powlett Wrighte Benyon of Englefield House Berks is granted royal licence to take the surname De Beauvoir in addition to Benyon and to bear the De Beauvoir arms quarterly with his family arms. The change is to be registered at the College of Arms. Bankruptcy notices and schedules follow naming W Scott jun Norwich confectioner and others with dates for surrender, auctions, and creditors.
