Hats in Congress Spark Debate on Dress Etiquette
From Washington comes word that the House will hear a push to require hats off in session. Speaker Stevenson issued a new order for gallery spectators to remove hats, while Mr McDuffie proposes changing the rule to apply to members as well. The debate promises to test gentility, decorum, and even domestic manufacture, with party lines perhaps shaping the outcome. Berkeley Paget and Lady Paget have left Berkeley House Sussex for three years as the captain sails to Semiramis, the Sag-ship of Lord C Paget.
