Assembly Passes Right to Farm Bill Amid Farm Nuisance Push
The Wisconsin Assembly approved a right to farm bill 79 to 13 addressing living near farms. It would let judges modify farm practices to curb smells and noise but not shutter farms unless health and safety are involved. Damages are capped at $1 for preexisting farms. Senate action is anticipated with similar language.
