Sharon Melton a Shell Lake woman and licensed dog dealer will stand trial here July 3 on five counts of failure to provide proper shelter for dogs kept on her farm where about 104 dogs on the property and 11 more were housed in a barn and milkhouse. The preliminary hearing reduced charges from inhumane treatment and related counts to shelter violations, according to Washburn County district attorney Edwin Fischer.
