Beskars Pioneer Air Feeding System Rewrites Wisconsin Dairy
Leonard Beskar and Judy Beskar use a German air feeding system to fill and feed from two silos, dramatically increasing storage and reducing labor. After a July storm destroyed their barn, they adopted the 40 horsepower powered, air driven method to feed a planned 140 cows, hoping to cut fuel use by about half versus conventional blowers and tractors.

Beskar Farm Adopts German Air Feeding System and Solar Barn
A Pierce County dairy owner, the Beskars, installed a German made air feeding system with two silos and blowers at cost as a demonstrator. The setup powers 132 head of livestock from 32 ft of silo on an 80 ft system, aided by a solar heated barn and new milking parlor. The farm, rebuilding after last summer’s storm, aims to double herd size and attract visitors from across the region.
