Wisconsin lake sewer system powers 1200 acre Lake Wapogasset
Lake Wapogasset and Bear Trap Lake residents built a unique sanitary district to keep pollution out. The system spans 23 miles with 500 hookups, funded by FmHA loans and a grant, totaling about 1.5 million dollars for Phase I and II. The project required strong community organizing, legal authority, and engineering work to connect cottages and homes while preserving trees and natural beauty.
