Milk hauler from Spring Valley sentenced on tax charges
Albert C. Peterson, 40, of Spring Valley, was sentenced to one year and one day in prison plus three years probation for filing a false federal income tax return for 1977 and related tax counts. He allegedly failed to report $103,000 in income from 1974-77 and used church assets for personal expenses. Probation requires timely 1974-81 returns, repayment of back taxes, and ongoing reporting, with appeals expected. The case was announced by IRS Milwaukee spokesman Ronald Fleissner.
