Augusta teen named master sheep stockman at Wisconsin show
Dianne Deaton 18, Augusta High School senior, was named Master Sheep Stockman by the Wisconsin Livestock Breeders Association after impressing a panel with her knowledge of beef, swine, and sheep. She shifted from Southdown to Bouillet genetics, bought a $150 ewe at UW River Falls sale, and now raises 15 ewes with breeding rams for market. Her FFA Dairy Cattle judging at River Falls and Augusta FFA team success accompanied her award.
