Chippewa County offers tractor safety sessions this spring
A 10 hour tractor safety certification program for youths ages 14 and 15 will be offered across Chippewa County in the voag programs at Bloomer Cadott Chippewa Falls Cornell Holcombe New Auburn and Stanley Boyd with sessions in March April and May. The $2 fee covers the manual Safe Operation of Agricultural Equipment. Registration forms are available through voag departments and school offices.

Knights Creek Valley 4-H Wins County Dairy Judging Title
Knights Creek Valley 4-H senior dairy judging team won first place at a county contest held at Gordon and Dennis Gotlibson Willis and Bob Dix farms with 1 013 points and the traveling trophy. Members Craig Feuker Dale Styer Dave Styer and Jan Styer led the top 10 individuals as judges Gary Peterson and Jeff Quilling noted. The junior contest is April 10 at 12 30 p m at the Ranney farm for 4 Hers aged 3rd grade to 13 with three classes and placings.

A March 29 program titled Business with China to be discussed Doing Business with China will feature Al Herrman of Wisconsin DATCP and Bob Setzing of the Wisconsin Department of Development. They will present impressions on China trade prospects after leading a recent agribusiness trade mission. A cash bar at 6 p.m. precedes a 7 p.m. steak dinner and 8 p.m. program. dinner costs 10 dollars. Tickets from the Greater Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce.
