Dairy farm tour hosted by Chippewa County Holstein breeders
The Chippewa County Junior Holstein Breeders sponsor a March 27 farm tour open to all. Stops include Roy Etta Farm Inc near Stanley with 83 cows, Sam Dale Farm near Stanley with 69 cows, and Jim Burch Farm near Sheldon with 41 cows. Tour departs 11:00 a.m. from Roy Etta, lunch is brown bag, registration $1, transportation by private cars, contact 723-9195.

Barron County Offers Tractor Safety Program This Spring
Barron County youths ages 14 and 15 can be certified to operate equipment for nonparents through a tractor safety program this spring. Registration is April 1 at 8 p.m. at the Barron County Courthouse. Sessions run 8 to 10 p.m. on April 1 6 15 22 and 29. Thirteen-year-olds may enroll but must wait until the 14th birthday for a certificate. Eligible residents pay a $2 materials fee. Further information via high school voag instructors and the Barron extension office.
