Southwest horse day draws 80 competitors
About 80 horse project members from six southern Wisconsin counties demonstrated horse knowledge at the Southwest Wisconsin District Horse Day hosted by Iowa County. Counties represented included Lafayette Dane Vernon Richland Juneau and Iowa. Events spanned poster contests Horse Bowl and hippology with junior intermediate and senior divisions. Vernon County dominated several divisions and Iowa County leaders helped organize the day.
