Lyster Lutheran Church History Picnic Slated for June 27
Pioneer Norwegians founded a church in 1866 to serve religious and social needs. The Lyster Lutheran Church History Picnic will be held Sunday June 27 starting at 1 30 p m at the church at the junction of county highways D and F in Nelson Township. Co sponsored by the congregation and Buffalo County Historical Society.

Neillsville Offers Food Drying Class From UW Extension
The University of Wisconsin Extension hosts a July 7 class on food drying at Neillsville Middle School Home Economics room. Topics cover advantages, disadvantages, and demonstrations of drying and rehydrating foods. Cost is 15 dollars, including a Home Drying of Foods publication and samples. Composting toilet sessions set in Ladysmith
Indianhead Community Action Agency schedules a two day seminar and hands on workshop June 30 July 1 in Ladysmith Wisconsin to explain basic theory operation and management of composting toilets. Led by Steve Krug the event includes a build of a scaled down Clivus Multrum model and a tour of local historic sites with speakers and musical performances.
