Miland family faces second tornado loss in nine months
In Trempealeau County a half mile wide tornado wrecked the Miland farm near Alma, ripping the roof from a bi level home and destroying a 180 foot barn extension and machine shed. The Milands estimate losses exceed 100000 dollars with damage across area farms. Neighbors like the Walkers and Deetz brothers also reported barns and a house hit. The couple, dairymen known for high quality milk, must again decide on rebuilding after last September’s barn fire.
