Bipartisan Wisconsin farm tour expands farmer understanding

Rep. Eckart and Rep. Gunderson conducted a three day district exchange in west central Wisconsin focusing on dairy farming and federal programs. They toured A G Co op Arcadia with 450 farmers shipping 850000 pounds of milk daily and producing 85000 pounds of cheese, learning about costs and consumer protection through farm policy. The visit aims to inform residents ahead of the 1981 farm bill debate and to show cross party cooperation beyond media portrayals.
