Biopsychologist links stress to electrical fields in Wisconsin
Dr. Craig Kronstedt a Glenwood City biopyschologist testified at PSC hearings Jan 20 that electrical frequencies from common uses may cause stress and mental strain especially in urban areas. He cited monkey studies and brain cell changes suggesting increased stress in denser electrical environments. Madonna Dotznie Praschak of Glenwood City described her home near high voltage lines and asked if such exposure could harm her family. Kronstedt said denser fields raise stress potential.

Stray voltage debate continues at PSC hearings
The stray voltage issue in dairy barns persists as NSP engineers and farmers clash over whether the 345 kilovolt line worsens readings. Grounding upgrades and insulated buried cables reduced problems on some farms, while others cite readings on metal towers and auto placements near NSP lines as potential contributors.
