Stamp marks 50 years of soil conservation in US
A 20 cent anniversary stamp honoring half a century of soil conservation is now available at Wisconsin post offices. First issued February 6 at the National Association of Conservation Districts convention in Denver. The design shows a hand holding a flower with color bands symbolizing water and soil layers. The celebration began August 25, 1983 and runs with recognitions through April 1985.

Agriculture secretary extends feed grain signup to March 16
