First state ET only sale set for Sunday
The Wisconsin Holstein Association weekend event features an ET only auction limited to calves frozen embryos and heifers from Wisconsin herds. Prairie Belle Holstein Farm hosts this non official sale near the Eau Claire Civic Center, drawing interest from 30 states and international breeders. Wisconsin milk board rejects UDIA merger proposal
The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board voted unanimously to reject a UDIA membership proposal as inconsistent with WMMB terms. The board had considered joining UDIA temporarily from January to June 1988 if a merger with National Dairy Board was firmed by April 1 and completed by July 1, with WMMB paying UDIA 750000 for six months.
