Wisconsin dairy farmers urged to join 1987 Feed Grain Program
Farmers who skipped last year’s program were urged to consider signing up for 1987 at a farm management seminar. Bruce Jones of UWEX noted set-aside and diversion provisions boost cash flow with examples showing potential gains of over 14 thousand dollars per 160 acre corn base. The target price is 3.00 with a 1.80 loan, and a 1.20 deficiency payment.
