NOAA long range forecaster Dr. Donald Gilman says this winter will likely bring stormy wet weather to the Great Lakes region and the East Coast from Maine to Florida, with colder than normal temperatures favored in the south central U.S. and milder conditions west of the Rockies. The pattern depends on jet stream behavior and tropical Pacific warming, which already shows 1 to 3 degree ocean increases from the Solomon Islands to off South America.
Kewaunee County hosts a 1 1 acre color show as Greiling Farms Inc. plans delivery of more than 150000 poinsettias to the holidays.
