TV brings college and vocational classes to homes
Wisconsin colleges and universities announce home television courses for fall. Orientation runs Aug 31 to Sept 4 from 5 30 to 6 30 p m with sample programs then students log lectures from home and meet on campus at intervals. Courses begin Sept 7 with offerings from UW Superior Viterbo UW Stevens Point UW La Crosse UW Whitewater and others.

Mobile classroom adds three stops in area
District 1 Technical Institute expands its mobile classroom circuit to Alma Greenwood and Thorp joining Bloomer Cornell Gilman Holcombe Mondovi and New Auburn. The van offers free individualized tutoring in high school equivalency reading math spelling writing career planning and citizenship test prep with enrollments open any time. Classes run weekly through mid December with schedules listed and contact Jack OConnell for details.

Luther Hospital Offers Prenatal Education Programs
Luther Hospital Eau Claire will run free prenatal classes this fall covering nutrition fetal development and pregnancy changes. One night introductory sessions occur the first Monday of each month at 7 30 p m except September with Sept 14 Oct 5 and Nov 2 the next dates. Further series for the fourth to sixth month include two week portions on physical emotional changes conditioning exercises formula preparation and breastfeeding offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m.

High school level algebra chemistry and biology courses will be offered this fall for adults pursuing health occupations. Classes meet evenings starting Sept 28 with registrations from Sept 14.
