Draft horses stride again at Chippewa fair Chippewa Falls
Seven local draft horse owners brought 37 horses to the Northern Wisconsin State Fair reviving a 35 year lapse in draft horse judging. Percherons and Belgians drew crowds as the six horse harness and a supreme champion mare were highlighted. A full grown draft horse weighs about a ton and costs 6000 to 15000 dollars depending on pedigree.
