Minimum tillage demonstrations set in Pepin County
Two minimum tillage demonstrations will be held this month in Pepin County. The first is April 22 at the Delano Linz farm in Durand township with a rain date April 24, the second on April 7 at the Roger Johnson farm in Pepin township with a rain date April 29. Both start at 2:30 p.m. Dealers from Pepin County will show minimum tillage equipment and discuss fertilizers, herbicides, crop residues, and economics with Roger Johnson, Vic Schuh, and Delano Linz.

Eau Claire dairy bowl winners named at county contest
The Sugarbush 4-H Club dairy bowl team won the Eau Claire County event with Denise Deaton, Debbie Deaton, Dianne Deaton, Jennifer Honadel and Jessie Wiese coached by Alan Deaton. Second place went to Thompson Valley Travelers, third to Washington Why Nots Pleasant Valley, and fourth to Thompson Valley Travelers. Eight teams competed. judges included Levert Olson. The victors will advance to District Daily Day on June 24 at Menomonie.
