Vorthmann Dies After 105-Foot Fall At Farm Well
William A. Vorthmann, 62, died of injuries from a 105 foot drop to the bottom of a well on his tenant farm five miles southeast of Macedonia. He and his son Richard, and tenant Claira Mayberry were repairing the wells when the accident happened. Richard and Mayberry rescued him, taking him to a local hospital by ambulance about an hour later. The body was sent to Cutler funeral home. funeral arrangements were not set.
