He was shot through a window in his farm home two miles north of Extra on highway 7L and walked a quarter mile for help. Petersen was treated at home then moved to Carroll hospital Friday. Investigators found snow marks and a fence area with pliers and rubber fragments near a suspected car, no motive yet.
