Seventh district delegates to the Republican state convention favor Senator Robert A. Taft by more than two to one over General Dwight D. Eisenhower. Washington reports the White House renovations costing 5.7 million dollars will be shown to about 1 000 attendees including staff families and congressional members and wives. SOUTHPORT Indiana H E McFadden a delivery manager for the Indianapolis News arrived at a friend’s home Saturday morning to help Mrs Trager. With her husband away an ambulance arrived and a healthy six pound one ounce girl was delivered at the scene by McFadden and the Trager family.

Gruenther will testify before congressional committees after Pentagon talks and will stand in for Eisenhower.
President Truman will end his three week Florida itinerary with a stop in Key West next Thursday. The White House pressed the butter price joke into the remark about travel recall as it referenced economic concerns and the rough schedule of the presidency during a fraught time.
