On trial for the strangulation death of University of Iowa coed Margaret Anne Gee Gee Bednasek urged police to shoot him after arrest. Officer Virgil Johnston testified Bednasek said you both have guns why dont you shoot me and get it over with. He also implied fear of losing the girlfriend and referred to the case as the tuxedo murder. Earlier witnesses described the couple in a happy mood leaving a fraternity dance.
A federal court jury was seated to hear the joint suit of Clifford I. Johnson and Beverly W. Johnson of Portland seeking 135000 from Alva E. Tibbles of Macedonia after an August auto crash 18 miles east of Council Bluffs killed two passengers, Ivan Ridgely and his daughter Carolyn. An additional 43000 suit by Earl Timberman as administrator for the Ridgely estates was filed but not dated for trial.
Six prisoners attacked a guard and escaped from the Colorado State Reformatory Monday night, prompting an alert. Authorities pursued the escapees as a manhunt was underway near BUENAVIS.

Webster City reports four year old Sherry Low Stanley died at Hamilton County hospital from burns after a paint can exploded while she pulled it across a stove at her parents home. She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Herman Stanley. The accident occurred Monday and she was severely burned about the body Tuesday she died the same day or the following hospital day.
