Two of five carloads of eggs ordered for ten state institutions have arrived via the food distribution administration. The first load went to Independence and Cherokee, the second to Clarinda and Glenwood. The eggs, freight paid by the FDA, are to be shared among Woodward Oskaloosa Davenport Mount Pleasant Clarinda Glenwood Eldora Marshalltown Cherokee and Independence, lasting two to three months. The source origin of the loads is unclear. The FDA has also shipped cabbage carrots beets canned plums canned milk and potatoes to the institutions since last fall.
