Dr. Thomas Nicholson, 82, retired Methodist bishop and former president of the Anti saloon league of America, died at his Mt Vernon home. He led as resident bishop in the Chicago area 1916 to 1924 and Detroit bishop 1924 to 1932, chaired the Anti saloon league 1921 to 1932, and served on YMCA, Federal Council of Churches, and Methodist church organization efforts in Korea with international conferences in Ireland, England, and Europe.
