A father Estol P. Clark and his 15 year old son Gary Clark drowned at Lake Manawa shortly before 1 p m Thursday while fishing with Dave Pratt 15. They waded into a hole and submerged prompting a search by five other youths who assisted the Emergency Unit in recovering the bodies.

Hospital Advisory Board Appointed

The governor announced a new 13 member Town Hospital Advisory Board to replace the old council. An engineer turned dentist, Dr. Jack Bauman, 31, will join his father in practice here by mid July. He earned a chemical engineering degree from Town State College at Ames in 1947 and a DDS from the University of Illinois this month. Dr Bauman worked as a chemical engineer for Shell Oil, drove a taxi, delivered milk, and was a mail clerk while studying. He and his wife Sarah have two children, Johnnie and Jeannine, ages 3.
