Secret service agents seized nearly $100,000 in counterfeit bills in a raid at 1807 H Street NW near the White House and Secret Service offices. Four men and a woman were arrested on manufacturing and passing charges, including Eugene Creighton Walter Kidwell William Hughes Josephine Hughes and Arthur Bear. Weekend Iowa traffic toll rises to four deaths

Drowning at Crystal Pool Claims Stazzoni Girl
Teresa Ann Stazzoni fourteen-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs Ray Stazzoni of 1426 Fourth avenue drowned Sunday at Crystal pool in Council Bluffs. Lifeguards and emergency crew spent over an hour attempting revival. autopsy confirmed death by drowning. The body was found at the nine foot depth by 17 year old Phillip Fields. Red Cross instructor Jerry Hudson and medical student Dwayne Tweedale aided until help arrived. She is survived by her parents and a brother, Dominic. The body is at Woodring funeral home.
