In Memphis on Saturday two men were fined after a physician testified they pushed a car for about three miles at speeds of 60 to 70 mph. T. W. Sandridge, 27, received a $100 fine on malicious mischief and reckless driving charges, while a passenger was fined $25 for malicious mischief. Witness DE. A. Lintlty said the men refused to let him pass earlier and then pushed his car at a dangerous stretch of road.

In St Ignace Michigan two brothers Leonard Jenks 25 and Phillip 24 were found buried in a tunnel cavern along the Carp River north of town. Police say a hollow sound led them to dig seeking buried riches after cutting boughs in forests north of here to sell for funeral ornaments.

More than 100 police combed winding quarry edges and wooded areas near McCook seeking a hijacking gang that fired on officers and vanished. Six planes and five civilian craft patrolled the area late Saturday night into Sunday dawn, but no suspects were captured by 12 30 a m CST. 24 Jets to Offutt Show After Air Show

Twenty four P-84 jet planes from Dowfield Maine landed at Chanute field in Rantoul Saturday for an overnight stop before an air show over Des Moines Sunday.
