Athens reports the 9th division pushing four miles into guerrilla territory north of Konitsa as the opening move of what officials call the greatest offensive of the civil war. Supervisor Ian Scott of Underwood asked for a recount of ten ballots after a June 7 primary. Board Chairman Jim Henry said the recount would start at 1 30 p m with state checker Earl Halroway and Deputy County Auditor Roy Proctor assisting. Scott had 1671 votes while winners were Henry Johns 1812 and John C Anderson 1766.

Berlin suffers a supply blockage as about 10,000 Americans in the city wait while a US Russian currency reform deadlock halts freight trains. Carroll Hangar Swept by Fire at Municipal Airport

Fire swept two hangars at Carroll municipal airport Sunday night causing about 35,000 in damages. A Piper Cub owned by Arden Reiman of Arcadia was a total loss. Four Cessnas were damaged around 1,000 each. Airport manager Lawrence Rushen Beerg reported the hangar was insured.

Howard W. Blakeslee reports at the American Medical Association meeting in Chicago on radar therapy developed at the Mayo Clinic. A metal cup emits radar through aching tissues heating blood and tissue to ease swelling and pain in bursitis and rheumatic joints. The five minute treatment raises tissue temperatures and increases blood flow, with effects lasting after the unit is shut off.
