Des Moines Supreme Court affirms 20 year term for Dr Anderson
The Town supreme court at Des Moines on Tuesday affirmed the 20 year sentence imposed on Dr James Anderson of Council Bluffs in a second degree murder case connected with the death of Marian Blyth, 25. Blyth's body was found in the Missouri river near here on April 23, 1946. The court said there were no prejudicial errors in the lower court. Unanimous opinion by Justice Mantz. Anderson, who had offices in Council Bluffs and home in Omaha, travels for a drug house. Attorney J Wess in Wyoming on vacation could not be reached for comment. A rehearing may be sought within 30 days. if denied, Anderson would be taken into custody, he remains free on a $20,000 bond.
