Construction on projects totaling 10 246 900 was halted at two locations after a strike called by Omaha Local 1140 of the International Hod Carriers Building and Common Laborers Union. About 600 to 800 workers across carpenters, engineers, bricklayers and others are affected. wage talks center on a 22 cent hourly increase. Several major projects around Council Bluffs and Glenwood are stalled while casual talks continue to avert work stoppage.

Student Pilot Hurt In Airport Crash
