Plan Widening of Highway 30 Stretch in Harrison County

Sixteen miles of Highway 30 from Woodbine to Missouri Valley in Harrison County will be widened this summer. Chief Engineer John Butter of the Iowa State Highway Commission said bids are due June 28 for the project, which will expand the road from 18 to 24 feet with concrete paving. William Johnsen aged 31 of Davenport was reported in critical condition at Merry Hospital after a car- Train? accident near Logan. Robert Lee Bean seven of Sioux City died from injuries. Washington AP The House Appropriations Committee earmarked more than 16 million dollars for Iowa water projects as part of a 464 million dollar nationwide package.
