Nebraska Flier Injured In Crash
Lonnie Bede of Valentine Nebraska was critically injured when his light plane crashed during takeoff from a farm runway northwest of White River South Dakota. He was taken by ambulance to a Valentine hospital and later collapsed after walking fifty feet despite a back injury. Bede, about 45, managed an electrical plant in Valentine and had been on business at the William Jensen farm where the crash occurred. Jensen cited a strong south wind as a possible factor as the plane began its ascent.
