Shenandoah Girls Injured in Route 83 Crash Near Stennett
Two Shenandoah teenagers suffered serious injuries when their car failed to make a turn and struck an embankment two miles northwest of Stennett. Darlene Lincoln, 15, had a fractured pelvis and severe facial injuries while Eula Webster, 14, sustained a fractured breastbone. They were hospitalized in Shenandoah. Six others in the convertible, driven by Howard Briggs of Red Oak, escaped with minor cuts and were treated at Murphy Memorial Hospital in Red Oak.

Carroll County Lad Fatally Injured in Auto Crash
Billy Reiff age nine, son of Ed and Mrs. Reiff of Carroll county, was fatally struck Wednesday afternoon by a car driven by George Dinges of Odebolt on highway 71 five miles north of Carroll. An inquest was ordered by Carroll county coroner Dr. J Lawrence Cochran. This marks the fourth traffic fatality in Carroll county this year and second child killed on highway 71.
