The Imperial passenger train No 39 bound for Los Angeles struck a stalled westbound freight No 91 near Lineville Iowa early Tuesday injuring five crewmen and 25 passengers with cuts and sprains. Engineer J H Cordes most seriously hurt, Fireman W Chrisman among the injured. nurse Mrs Charles Lee praised for emergency aid. The diesel flipped, several cars derailed, and a caboose was demolished as witnesses said the freight was stalled on the track.
