Several hundred employees at the Council Bluffs Mail Terminal received a Christmas present when Washington ordered the local terminal to continue Oregon mail distribution under the same conditions as during the holidays. The ruling, issued by John C. Allen, assistant postmaster general, follows a temporary holiday return of Oregon sorting from Sept. 27. An inspector may visit again soon to review ongoing operations.
